Before the short notice foray at Big Grove, Johnson County.
Spinellus fusiger on Mycena haemotopus.
Spinellus fusiger on Mycena haemotopus. This is a common sight for a few weeks in late summer.
These Rhodotus palmatus are very young...just a few centimeters across. There were older specimens on the same log that were several inches across.
I wondered off by myself near the end of the foray and got lost. I found this good edible fungi while trying to find my way back to the parking lot.
Trichia favoginea on Phellinus gilvus
Gymnopilus c.f. sapineus
