I found this huge morel at the very end of the season. The morel season came and went very early in 2010. Most years, it is just getting started around May 1st. This year it was just about all done by that date. This morel was found on May 4th. It was mostly dried up, but it still tasted great.

Underwoodia columnaris. This is a first sighting of this unusual fungi for all members of the club. The woods at Brushy Creek State Park were full of these weird looking things.
